In May of 2016, Port Arthur citizens approved an Affordable Housing Ballot Proposition which allows PAEDC funds to be used to implement an affordable housing program in the area of 5th Street to 8th Street from Atlanta Ave. to Nashville Ave. The program is designed to attract citizens of Port Arthur to assist them in building new single family dwellings. The PAEDC is excited to attract new home build while assisting its citizens.
