About The Scholarship
The Port Arthur Economic Development Corporation (PAEDC) offers a scholarship program for Port Arthur graduating high school seniors. The program awards ten (10) scholarships annually to students pursuing high-demand associate degrees through Lamar State College Port Arthur (LSCPA). The PAEDC scholarship program plays a vital role in shaping the future of the local community by empowering individuals through education and training. Class of 2026 seniors who are Port Arthur residents and interested in applying must complete the online application at www.paedc.org. Applicants are required to submit all supporting documentation, including a high school transcript, a 500 word essay responding to the provided prompt, TSI or SAT scores, and a resume outlining any work experience.
