Sponsorship Request
Thank you for your interest in requesting sponsorship support from the Port Arthur Economic Development Corporation (PAEDC). The PAEDC recognizes the important role that community organizations, educational institutions, nonprofits, and civic groups play in enhancing our community. Through our sponsorship program, we seek to partner with organizations whose events and initiatives positively impact Port Arthur and support economic development, workforce development, and the overall quality of life of our residents. As a Type A Economic Development Corporation, the PAEDC is required to ensure that promotional expenditures comply with state law and support the Corporation’s economic development mission. Promotional activities funded by the PAEDC must advertise or publicize the City of Port Arthur for the purpose of developing new and expanded business enterprises while promoting our community as a place to live, work, visit, and invest. Organizations seeking sponsorship consideration must complete and submit the attached Sponsorship Application no later than sixty (60) days prior to their event or project. This requirement allows sufficient time for staff review, Board consideration(when necessary), and any coordination related to approved sponsorships. Because the PAEDC is limited by law in the amount of annual funding that may be used for promotional purposes, we strongly encourage organizations to plan ahead and submit requests as early as possible. Submission of an application does not guarantee funding. Sponsorship requests are evaluated based on several factors, including community impact, alignment with the mission and goals of the Port Arthur EDC, anticipated outcomes, benefit to Port Arthur residents, promotional value to the City of Port Arthur, and available funding. Please complete all sections of the application and provide any supporting documentation that may assist in the review process. Incomplete applications may delay consideration.
